Section Newsletter Started in 1996 the Section Newsletter is now known as Thistledown and is produced on a monthly basis for the benefit of South of Scotland Section members, as well as anyone else who might be interested. It currently gets distributed to approximately 150 club members in about 8 countries.
The newsletter is intended as a local supplement to the main club magazine MZ Rider, and offers stories and views from a particularly Scottish perspective. Also, events, stories, members' small ads, stuff that I’ve nicked off the internet, and my demented ramblings on a monthly basis.
Cartoon courtesy of Gary McIlkenny I'm always on the look out for articles, photographs, cartoons or useful and interesting information for inclusion, anything really that might be of interest to other Section and/or Club members. So, if you plan on taking a holiday on your bike why not send in a report with a few pictures? Everything and anything will be considered for publication. Please feel free to get in touch should you wish to contribute something or should you want to subscribe (this is free for email subscribers, and the regular mail version costs the princely sum of 12 stamps). I've included a recent issue here for you to get an idea of what's involved. However, I've taken out the adverts, meetings and rallies as these can be found elsewhere on this site. Other than that, except for some stuff that might offend or bring the bailiffs down on me, what you see is pretty much what you get. The actual Newsletter usually runs to between four and six pages each month. Click HERE for Issue, No. 84 - December 2007
My contact details are on the Home page should you wish to subscribe now and find out what you've been missing.
The Newsletter Thistledown is wholly owned and run by me. The views and opinions contained in its pages are not always those of the MZ Riders Club or its Committee.
